Bible
7th-8th Boys' Bible
This year’s Bible course will focus on the heart of Jesus. What kind of a man was He, and What kind of man do we want our boys to become?
7th-8th Girls' Bible
This course will cover the Life of Christ during the first semester. The second semester will be "Today's Teen Girl".
English
7th Grade English
This course will continue to build upon the fundamentals of grammar and the students' ability to write clearly and effectively. Emphasis is also placed on spelling and vocabulary skills in order to build a well rounded use of speech and writing abilities. The students will become acquainted with a wide variety of good poetry from famous authors such as Longfellow, Scott, and Browning. Literature will include interesting stories and poems which focus on character, family, great men and women and legendary heros.
8th Grade English
This course will take at step further into the fundamentals of grammar and writing techniques. Emphasis is also placed on spelling and vocabulary to continue the students' growth in speech and writing. Through Literature and Poetry, the students are introduced to some of the best of the world's authors such as John Greenleaf Whittier, Robert Frost, Tennyson, and Longfellow.
Gym
7th-8th Boys' P.E
This course will cover a wide range of sports including football, basketball, wrestling, lacrosse, and others. The Health course will cover both physical and spiritual well-being. Topics covered in Health include the benfits of proper diet and excerise, basic musculature and skeletal anatomy, and Biblical principles for daily living.
7th-8th Girls' P.E.
History
World History(7th)
From the beginning of civilization in Mesopotamia to the 20th Century, this course explores the history of humanity and God's soverignty over world events.
American History(8th)
This course will cover American Histroy starting with Pre-Columbus civilizations and ending with the out break of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Special emphasis will be payed to God's sovereignty in founding of our great nation.
Math
7th Grade Math
We use the Saxon Math Curriculum which builds the students mastery through daily practice of skills and concepts taught in previous lessons. We continue to learn numbers and operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, problem solving, data analysis and probability. Each day, we work through a lesson of thirty problems. Every five lessons, we check our progress through a cumulative test.

7th Grade Science
This year we will be using the ABeka text Science: Order and Reality. The course will include both life and physical sciences.
8th Grade Science
This year we will be using the Bob Jones University text Space and Earth. This class is an earth science course, with the study of birds thrown in! We will be hatching chicks and doing a dissection of a bird in the spring, along with having some live visitors to class! We will also discuss endangered species when we visit the Carnivore Preservation Trust in Pittsboro.
