Arona is originally from the Philippine Islands. She came to the US when she was 18 months old and lived in Benton, Arkansas until she was 32 years old. She and her husband, LeRoy, who serves in the US Army, have two daughters: Breanna and Hananiah.
She was saved when she was in high school, but at the age of 29, the Lord took hold of her heart. While the Macedonia Group was at their church, she received assurance of her salvation. Now there is no doubt in her heart or mind that the Lord is her personal Savior. It has been evident in her life ever since. Over the years, she has served Him in the nursery, as a hospitality and fellowship coordinator, as a Sunday school teacher, on Mission trips, in many different positions in VBS, and as a coach for an Upward soccer team.
She taught K-4 at BBA from 2001 to 2003. Due to a military assignment, their family moved to Alaska in 2004, but the Lord brought them back to Fayetteville in the summer of 2007. Arona began working as the Store Manager at McDonalds. In 2009, the Lord opened the door for her to come back to BBA as a K-4 teacher.
She attends summer enrichment courses at Pensacola Christian College and other seminars focusing on K4 to continue her education. She absolutely loves teaching this age group. She is so thankful God called her back into this ministry and gives Him all the glory.
She loves to cook, go to the beach, travel, take pictures, scrapbook, hang out with her husband and children by playing board games, spoons, and watching movies. She loves and sells Pampered Chef and sees this as a great way to fellowship with new people, friends, and family.
