Mr. Jack Farmer
HS History, Weightlifting, Physical Education, Baseball

     Jack hails from Jacksonville, Arkansas.  He is married to Angela, and together they have two daughters: Breeanna and Bianca, both are BBA Alumni.  Jack arrived at Berean in January 2002, and served Berean in numerous roles throughout the years as a Deacon, Singles’ Pastor, Computer Tech, Computer Teacher, and Bible teacher.  Currently, he teaches US History, World History, World Geography, American Government, Weightlifting, Physical Education, coaches Baseball, and is the Youth Pastor at Union Grove Baptist Church in Salemburg, NC.

     Prior to his arrival at Berean, Jack served in the Arkansas Army National Guard and the United States Army.  In the Arkansas Army National Guard, he served as an Air Traffic Control Radar and Systems Tech, and as the Communications Chief.   In the United States Army, Jack served as an Infantryman at Fort Hood, Texas and Baumholder, Germany.  While in Baumholder, Jack also served as the Assistant Pastor of Grace Baptist Church. 

     Jack is currently pursuing his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.  He lacks two courses before beginning his Doctoral Research Dissertation on Education Technology and Teacher Development.  He also holds Professional Certification for Educational Administration from the North Carolina Christian Schools Association.  He is a member of the Association of Supervisors and Curriculum Developers, National Baseball Coaches Association, and Disabled American Veterans. 

      Professionally, Jack holds the following degrees:  Education Specialist: Educational Leadership (Liberty University), Master of Education: Administration and Supervision (Liberty University), Master of Theology: Pastoral Theology (Andersonville Theological Seminary), Bachelor of Theology (Andersonville Theological Seminary), and Computer Repair Certificate (Fayetteville Technical Community College).  

    Jack has participated in short-term mission trips both foreign and domestic.  He has traveled to the Dominican Republic with Score International in 2008 and 2009 for baseball outreaches, and led the senior class on village outreaches in 2010 and 2011.  Additionally, Jack traveled to Vermont to participate as a Vacation Bible School team member and to lead a youth rally in 2011.
