Miss Cheryl Simmonds was born in England while her dad served in the U. S. Air Force. She spent most of her youth in various cities throughout Michigan. Weary of snow, she went to Pensacola Christian College to study English after graduating from high school. In December of 2010, in addition to having obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in English with a minor in Speech, she completed a Master of Science degree in English Education. This year, Miss Simmonds will be teaching 7th-9th grade English, Creative Writing, and Speech.
Besides teaching English, Miss Simmonds enjoys drinking coffee, reading good literature, singing along with good music—especially in her car—and taking long walks on the beach.
